MONOCHROME
Monochrome World By Jan Janczak & Frantisek Jungvirt
With great honor and pleasure, we invite you to take a glimpse into the monochrome world of the accomplished artist Jan January Janczak featuring artworks from his latest “Light in the Dark” black and white series.
“Light in the dark” – these words may evoke different associations, however, they always stand for something positive and allow hope to grow. In his monochromatic series of paintings, Jan Janczak plays the title's theme with virtuosity and shows the power of color and motives reduction. A monochrome palette removes any distraction of color inviting the viewer to focus on other aspects of the artwork, such as its subject, shapes and textures.
The black and white aesthetic also has a special place in the creative mind of Frantisek Jungvirt, the emerging glass artist from Prague. While color is considered the most expressive element of art, when reduced to a monochromatic palette, one must perfect the object’s form and texture for it to be extraordinary.
To admire the black-and-white creations by Jan Janczak and Frantisek Jungvirt visit us at the 24th Art International Zurich Fair for Modern and Contemporary Art to take place at the Zurich Convention Center.
