LUKAS JABUREK
Lukas Jaburek, a leading Czech glass artist and designer, masterfully blends traditional craftsmanship with an original approach and contemporary design. As the former artistic director of the prestigious Moser glassworks in Karlovy Vary, he played a pivotal role in shaping the brand's artistic vision. Since 2018, he has embarked on an independent artistic journey, returning to his roots in the Ore Mountains to revive and breathe new life into the region's extinct glassmaking traditions.
In his work, Lukas Jaburek is defined by a distinctive and bold style, characterized by his exploration of color, optical refraction, and the depth of glass. Each piece tells a story, evoking emotions and subtle symbolism, as he views glass as an honest material that "never lies," expressing what words cannot. His exceptional talent has earned him numerous accolades, including the Czech Grand Design Public Award in 2012.
In his glass studio, Lukas Jaburek designs for both manual and machine production, creating bespoke awards, trophies, and gifts. He collaborates with architects and interior designers to craft unique collections, while also producing his own original decorative and beverage glassware. Additionally, he personally hand-cuts limited-edition artworks in his cutting workshop, ensuring each piece is a true masterpiece.
