PLOPP, the iconic air-inflated metal stool by a renowned Polish designer Oskar Zieta is a high-end contemporary take on a classic household stool. PLOPP stands for "Polski Ludowy Obiekt Pompowany Powietrzem" and is understood as Polish folk air-pumped object. It is stunning proof that the creative and artistic aspects of the design can be combined in a highly advanced engineering form. The unique fun-looking shape of PLOPP is a result of an innovative forming method known as FIDU technology. This allows free deformation of metal, hence each object made using this method is truly one of a kind. Forms made in FIDU are lightweight but also very durable for the best of both. Since its release in 2010, PLOPP has won many awards including the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2008, the German Design Council Award 2008 and the Forum AID Award 2009.
