LUSH GREEN RM58 CLASSIC CHAIR

The RM58 chair is an Eastern European mid-century design icon and one of the earliest examples of polyester-glass laminate furniture. Designed by Roman Modzelewski in 1958, the chair was considered revolutionary not only for its pioneering application of fiberglass but also a fully-closed organic form of the seat that had no counterpart in its time, either in Poland or elsewhere. One of the earliest surviving prototypes (in white) was purchased for the permanent design collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. A modern version of the RM58 classic chair is manufactured exactly like the original — manually at a shipyard using yacht and boat production technologies. It is sealed with a synthetic colored resin that guarantees extended longevity. With its high-gloss finish and exquisitely graceful silhouette, the RM58 Classic Chair looks like a sculpture that will bring sophistication to any living or office space.
