Here everything's like nothing else
DANISH FUEL
Danish Fuel launched in 2010 with a collection of high-end handcrafted bar and bathroom cabinets made of original WWII Jerry Cans sourced from military surplus stock houses. Only 3 years later Danish Fuel had its breakthrough at the international design scene at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the world’s most prestigious furniture exhibition. Today, Danish Fuel is proud to count the Danish Royal Family among the owners of its stunning product.
Turning old military items into sleek functional design pieces requires high technology and high quality craftsmanship. The upcycling process takes place in 4 different locations within Denmark, lasts 3 weeks and includes cutting, drilling, grinding, burning and sandblasting before the new powder coat is added and molded in plywood internal shelves are assembled and mounted. Danish Fuel’s Jerry Cans are handcrafted in Denmark based on the principal of reusing parts of old Jerry Cans and remaking them. Hence, not two cans are alike therefore each storage cabinet is as unique as a piece of art.
Original and unique, this WWII icon turned into a smart Bar Cabinet will add a hip industrial touch to any contemporary setting.
